Diese Schnecke Murchisonia angustetaeniata PAECKELMANN bewohnte (neben anderen Tieren) unter anderem die ausgedehnten Riffkomplexe des tropischen Flachmeeres, das sich im Mitteldevon dort befand, wo heute das Rheinische Schiefergebirge ist.
