Description

Pflasterzahn eines muschelfressenden Fisches der Gattung "Ptychodus mammillaris". Als durophagöse Molluskenfresser waren die Raubfische auf Muscheln und Schnecken spezialisiert. Fossilien von Ptychodus-Zähnen kommen in vielen marinen Sedimenten der späten Kreidezeit vor.
