Der Porträtierte sitzt auf einem Stuhl an einem Tisch, auf dem eine gezeichnete Karte liegt. Er trägt Uniform und Adlerkreuz. Im Hintergrund Landschaft mit Fluss, Wald und Hügeln. Links unter dem Motiv die Angabe des Künstlers, rechts die des Lithografen. Unter dem Motiv in Versalien der Name des Porträtierten, darunter seine Funktionsbezeichnungen und Titel.
