Die Nordstraße gehört zu den am frühesten bebauten Straßen des Kreuzviertels. Die Bewohner dieser in den Jahren um 1900 weitgehend bebauten Straße waren vielfach Adelige, Offiziere des Militärs, Geschäftsleute und Universitätsprofessoren.
