Der Text lautet:
"I don't want to wait in vain for your love /
From the first time I set my eyes on you /
My heart said follow thru /
But I know that I'm way down on the line /
And the way I feel is fine /
And the tears in my eyes burn /
I wanna know when it's my turn /
And I'm sure in life there is a lot of grief /
But your love is my relief /
Tho: I don't want to wait in vain for your love /
It's been three years since I'm knocking on your door /
And I still could knock some more /
I wanna know if it's feasible girl /
If for me to knock some more /
So don't treat me like a puppet on a string /
Girl cause I knew how to do my thing /
Oh don't treat me like I'm dumb /
I wanna know when you're gonna come"
